Paid Internships
Still in school or unsure of your path? We partner with area high schools and colleges to offer paid internships to students considering a career in medical manufacturing. Intern in a discipline that interests you. Learn from experts in the field and gain valuable work experience to help jumpstart your career. Internship opportunities are available in Engineering/Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Robotics & Automation, Project Management, and Administration. (ages 17+)
Toolmaker Apprenticeship Program
Do you love working with your hands, creating and customizing precision tooling for the latest advanced manufacturing equipment and technology? Consider a high-demand career as a Toolmaker. Our internal apprenticeship program is certified by the Department of Labor and includes paid on-the-job virtual classroom training, through the ToolingU program, as well as hands-on training on the shop floor. We offer assistance with tool expenses and, in order to fully develop your career path forward, tuition reimbursement may be available.
Most importantly, once you train at AVNA to master a particular skill, your training doesn’t have to stop. With a combination of cross-discipline training, custom-designed advancement plans, and a team dedicated to your success, you can reach whatever goals you set your heart and mind on achieving. (ages 17+)
Become an Operator With Our Paid On the Job Training Program
If you love hands-on experiences, have a knack for math, science, or technology, and a passion for learning new things, our OJT Program is for you!
Opportunities for Operators include:
- CNC Machining
- Auto-Press
- Laser Operations
(including cutting, welding, marking) - Plastic Molding

On day one you will meet and work alongside a training expert, who will guide you through every step of learning how to run your own workcenter.
